Life Was A Beach - R.I.P Mungo

Mungo

Life Was a Beach

For the last 19 months we have been filming ‘Life’s A Beach’ a film about Mungo, a guy who lives an alternative lifestyle on a beach below the White Cliffs between Folkestone and Dover, a lifestyle the authorities despised and wanted to stop.

Sadly on the 26th November 2011 Mungo was tragically killed in an accident.

Mungo was a fantastic guy who lived life to the full, he disliked the authorities that try and dictate our daily lives, utility companies that hold us all to ransom, organisations like ‘The White Cliffs Countryside Partnership’ who he said wanted him removed from the beach, ‘English Heritage’ who want to open up the countryside as long as you ‘keep to the path’ and pay the fee for doing so.

Mostly though Mungo was a family man who loved his children and grandchildren, in return they loved him back, he was a credit to his children and they were a credit in return.

The family are keen for us to finish the documentary and although it will have a tragic ending that none of us expected, it will be a fitting tribute to an amazing individual.

This is the trailer that my son made to help support Mungo's court case.
