Black Ave Films will premiere their new short horror film 'SWINE AND DINE' at Kevin Smith’s iconic Smodcastle Cinemas in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
Written and directed by Ronald Black and Christopher Avellino, 'SWINE AND DINE' is a dark, suspenseful film that explores the harrowing underside of industrial farming. The story follows a ruthless female manager who becomes the target of a mysterious force, forcing her to face the pain and suffering she's inflicted.
The cast is led by Mark Haynes, Michelle Santiago, and Kelsey Rhea, with supporting roles from Andrew Pierson, Lauren Alenia, Rudy Ledbetter, and others.
“We wanted to create something different that had a unique tone without foregoing the appeal of horror,” say the directors.
Actor Andrew Pierson, who plays a vlogger in the film, adds:
“In SWINE AND DINE, I play a vlogger trying to warn people to stay the hell away from Freedom Ranch—but like any good horror story, no one listens. It’s an honor to see it picking up festival awards. I’m proud to be part of a film that reminds people horror can still be smart, nasty, and deeply unsettling.”
