Spine-chilling psychological thriller ‘ABOVE THE KNEE’ will have its UK Premiere at FrightFest 2025 on 25 August, and the official trailer is now available to watch on the BritFlicks YouTube channel.
Written and directed by Viljar Bøe (GOOD BOY), ‘ABOVE THE KNEE’ stars Freddy Singh, Julie Abrahamsen, Louise Waage Anda, and Viggo Solomon. The film centres on Amir, a man whose seemingly idyllic life hides a disturbing obsession: he’s convinced that his left leg doesn’t belong to him.
Plagued by grotesque visions of a rotting limb, Amir becomes fixated on amputation—whatever the cost. The film explores themes of body integrity, mental torment, and self-identity in disturbing detail.
‘ABOVE THE KNEE’ has already drawn acclaim from genre outlets, with Morbidly Beautiful calling it “★★★★ – Left me on the edge of my seat,” and Eye for Film describing it as “Powerful…doesn’t let us look away.”
