British indie comedy-drama 'THE REGULARS' takes audiences behind the counter of London’s iconic Prince Charles Cinema. Written and directed by former usher turned manager Fil Freitas, the film is inspired by real-life experiences of cinema staff and will be released in select UK cinemas from August 22, 2025.
Outline: Set and filmed entirely inside the independent cinema, 'THE REGULARS' follows a single day in the life of its hapless employees. Between ushering films, dealing with awkward customers, and navigating each other’s quirks, the team must learn to survive the shift together.
Shot in black and white and presented in 4:3 aspect ratio, the film blends amateur and professional performances for a realistic, dry-humoured look at cinema life.
