Filmmaker Sam Abbas (‘THE WEDDING’, ‘ALIA’S BIRTH’, ‘ERĒMITA ANTHOLOGIES’) has released the official trailer for his new feature documentary ‘EUROPE’S NEW FACES’, featuring original music by French auteur Bertrand Bonello.
The 159-minute non-fiction film captures an unfiltered and empathetic look at the migrant experience in Europe — from perilous crossings in the Mediterranean on Médecins Sans Frontières’ rescue vessel to life in Paris-based squats. Shot over four years, it offers an unflinching lens on displacement, resilience, and humanity.
‘EUROPE’S NEW FACES’ premiered at MoMA Doc Fortnight and has been officially submitted for Academy Awards® consideration for Best Documentary Feature. The film opens in theatrical release December 12, 2025 (NYC, LA, Europe & UK), followed by VOD on December 19, 2025.
