The trailer for 'APRIL X' has dropped today on the BritFlicks YouTube Channel. The film is directed and co-written by Michel K. Parandi and is a Romanian-American co-production set in a dystopian near-future world.
'APRIL X' follows twins Baxter (Connor Storrie) and April (Lilly Krug). Struggling to survive in a city shaped by black-market survival and advanced technology, the pair make rent through a shadowy organ trade. When April suddenly disappears, Baxter descends into the darker edges of the cityscape, driven by a single goal: to find his sister. As he searches, he is gradually pushed towards obsession and psychological collapse.
The film presents a cyberpunk future of autonomous transport, police drones and emerging cloning (“dupe”) technologies. Shot with a cyan-and-red visual palette by director of photography Nathan Haugaard, and supported by art director Oana Novicov’s world-building, 'APRIL X' combines European post-Soviet architecture, neon-lit streets and deserted commercial spaces to create a familiar yet distinct sci-fi environment.
'APRIL X' celebrated its world premiere at Providence Place Mall’s Showcase Cinema as part of the 43rd annual Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival, playing to festival audiences, cast and crew.
Worldwide sales for the film are being handled by Iuvit Media Sales.
