Freestyle Digital Media has acquired North American VOD rights to the noir crime thriller ‘NOBODY WANTS TO SHOOT A WOMAN’, which is set to release on digital HD internet, cable and satellite platforms from January 2, 2026.
‘NOBODY WANTS TO SHOOT A WOMAN’ follows Mary, a mother forced into a violent crime spree after her husband’s murder. Her focus is survival and protecting her young son, despite facing moral conflict, limited choices and a hostile environment. Set in New York City, the film focuses on Mary’s fight for survival and her efforts to keep her son safe after her husband’s murder.
The feature is written and directed by Kerry Ann Enright and produced by Enright and Cheyanne Kane. The cast includes Tina Benko as Mary, Max Casella as Eddie and Lev Gorn as John. The project is led by an all-female creative team aiming to honour classic New York crime cinema.
