"Football Without Fans Is Nothing" Jock Stein
We take a unique look through the eyes of 11 NUFC fans from across the spectrum, an in-depth, close-up view of what it takes to be a supporter: the travelling, the sacrifices the highs, the lows, the passion, the unwavering belief - the FAITH - as we join them on their arduous and emotional season long journey to the top flight.
Pre-Covid, we’d refer to them as the faces in the crowd - the Newcastle United family.
Who are they? What makes them really tick? Why do they do it? How do they do it? What are their hopes and dreams for themselves as well as their beloved football team.
Via interviews and game-day footage from the fans themselves (“Camera Fans”, who documented the matches and their fan interactions on their phones), we attempt to answer these questions, while capturing the unique fan experience of supporters who comprise one of the most loyal fanbases in international football. A film about fans, by fans - and what it means to be a football fan in the 21st Century.
