Bulldog Film Distribution is set to release 'PROTEIN', the highly anticipated cannibal crime thriller from award-winning writer-director Tony Burke. The film hits select UK cinemas on 13 June, followed by a digital release on major platforms from 14 July 2025.
Adapted from Burke’s acclaimed 2014 short film of the same name, 'PROTEIN' follows a gym-obsessed serial killer who murders and consumes a local drug dealer for his protein fix, unintentionally igniting a savage and bloody turf war between rival gangs.
Blending elements of dark comedy, gritty crime drama, and visceral cannibal horror, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Craig Russell ('Queen Cleopatra'), Kezia Burrows, Steven Meo, Charles Dale, Andrea Hall, Ross O'Hennessy, and Richard Elis.
