Start of Production – ‘DICK TOES’ Begins Filming in Ottawa
Production is now underway on ‘DICK TOES,’ the latest gonzo feature from cult Canadian filmmaker Lee Gordon Demarbre. Described as a kung-fu, action, comedy, horror, musical, the film follows private detective Richard Toes—a man cursed with ten dicks for toes—as he investigates a lesbian vampire conspiracy in Ottawa, with the resurrection of Count Dracula on the horizon.
Directed and edited by Demarbre (known for ‘JESUS CHRIST VAMPIRE HUNTER’ and ‘ENTER THE DRAG DRAGON’) and written by frequent collaborator Mark Pollesel, ‘DICK TOES’ has begun filming on location in Ottawa, with additional shoots planned for Montreal, Los Angeles, and the zombie landmarks of Evans City and Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
Starring Elliott Fockyer as Dick Toes, the cast also includes Natalia Moreno, Matt Miwa, Jennilee Murray, Christine Hager, Goth Luna, Donny Snel, and Shelby Alright. Cinematography is by Petr Maur, with sound by Jeff Campbell.
Entirely self-funded and made without investors or producer involvement, ‘DICK TOES’ is a pure passion project in the DIY spirit Demarbre is known for. Production is expected to wrap in 2027 or 2028.
