Directed by Richard Bracewell ('BILL', 'THE GIGOLOS'), 'CHICKEN TOWN' stars Graham Fellows, alongside rising talents Ethaniel Davy, Amelie Davies, Ramy Ben Fredj, Hugo Carter, and Everett Gaskin, with appearances from Laurence Rickard ('Ghosts') and Alistair Green ('Ted Lasso').
Set in a dead-end East of England town, the film follows two schoolfriends and a forgetful grandad who try to sell a shed full of weed accidentally grown on his allotment. The result is a funny and heartfelt story about unexpected friendships and finding family in unusual places.
Filmed on location in the Fens and Norfolk, the film was co-written by Patrick Dalton (creator of the ‘Shit London’ book series) and produced by Tom Wood of Nodge Films. The cast features young newcomers from Nottingham’s Television Workshop, with behind-the-scenes support from graduates of Norwich University of the Arts.
'CHICKEN TOWN' is Richard Bracewell’s fourth feature film and continues his focus on grounded, character-led comedy.
Verve Pictures will release 'CHICKEN TOWN' in UK cinemas on 27 June 2025.
