BritFlicks is pleased to share the official trailer for 'THE BLIND SOLDIERS', a powerful World War II drama based on a true story from the Philippines.
Set in rural Mindanao—particularly in Malaybalay Bukidnon, Lanao Del Sur, Maguindanao Provinces, Cotabato City, and Upi, Maguindanao—the film follows five men from the Teduray tribe of Cotabato who enlist in the United States Armed Forces in the Far East (USAFFE) as the Japanese invasion intensifies during the Second World War.
Though illiterate, these men show extraordinary courage, discipline, and patriotism. As the reality of war sets in, they experience hunger, loss, and the horrors of battle. Refusing to surrender, they fight their way back home and are later honoured for their bravery.
'THE BLIND SOLDIERS' is directed by Ronald Adamat and Marianita Lusana, with a screenplay by Jim Flores and cinematography by Jay Ramirez. The cast includes Ronald Adamat, Soliman Cruz, Long Mejia, Gary Lim, and Bong Cabrera. The executive producer is Lily Esquilon, and the film is produced by Empowerment Productions.
