News from Shogun Films as the UK indie genre studio has launched its first crowdfunder for the British horror feature ‘HARBINGER’ on Greenlit. The film is currently in post-production, with the campaign raising finishing and promotional funds ahead of release.
Produced by Jonathan Sothcott and directed by James Crow, ‘HARBINGER’ stars Carole Ann Ford, Gary Webster, Tony Sands and Peter Woodward. Inspired by classic British Hammer and Amicus horror, the film follows Julia, the sole survivor of satanic serial killer Henry Decker, who is drawn back to his deserted home for a paranormal TV investigation. There, the crew uncover Decker’s prized possession — a fairground fortune-telling machine known as The Harbinger — not realising that his soul still lives inside it.
The film was shot in East Sussex and London and, according to the release, will be distributed worldwide later this year by Trinity Content across digital platforms, Blu-ray and selected cinemas. The campaign also offers supporters physical rewards including Blu-rays, soundtrack CDs, posters and screen-used tarot cards from the film.
