The documentary tells the story of Catch One, known as the Studio 54 of the West Coast, and its founder Jewel Thais-Williams, a Black LGBTQ+ trailblazer who created a nightclub that became a space for music, activism, visibility and community.

Under the leadership of Jewel Thais-Williams, Catch One became more than a nightclub. It served as a safe space and cultural institution, particularly during the AIDS crisis, when the club supported fundraising, visibility and community action.
Using rare archival footage, music and personal testimony, the film looks at the legacy of Catch One and its role in shaping a wider story of resilience, identity and cultural history.
