The official trailer and poster have been released for '12 HOURS', a 2026 psychological horror short from writer-director Mohamed A. Bere.
Produced under the SB Productions banner, '12 HOURS' stars Mimi Dybs, Hettie Lynn Hurtes and Reid Schmidt, with Sharmarke Mohamed and Eve Richards serving as executive producers.
The film follows Emily, a young caregiver who accepts a 12-hour shift at an isolated home owned by the seemingly warm but unsettling Ms. Maple. Tasked with caring for Ms. Maple’s quiet, wheelchair-bound son Eric, Emily believes the job will be a routine opportunity to stabilise her life.
As the shift continues, the atmosphere inside the house begins to change. Strange behaviour, disorientation and growing paranoia lead Emily to suspect she has been drugged and manipulated. Cut off from the outside world, she must find a way to escape before the night turns even more dangerous.
Mimi Dybs plays Emily, with Hettie Lynn Hurtes as Ms. Maple and Reid Schmidt as Eric.
The film has a runtime of 13 minutes and 43 seconds and was produced in 4K with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Festival screening dates and details for the film’s world premiere are due to be announced soon.
