'DEAD SOULS', the final film from director Alex Cox, opens at Laemmle NoHo in Los Angeles on July 22, 2026, with US distribution by Kino Lorber.
Directed by Alex Cox, 'DEAD SOULS' is a Western drama set in Arizona in 1890, the year of the U.S. census.
The film follows Strindler, a mysterious man who arrives in a border town and offers money in exchange for the names of dead Mexican laborers. His request causes suspicion and unrest, drawing him into a strange frontier story involving money, death, myth and the legacy of the Old West.

The film stars Alex Cox, Zander Schloss, Dick Rude, Edward Tudor-Pole, Merritt Crocker, Maria Robles, Karen E. Wright and Eric Schumacher.
A post-screening Q&A will take place after the 7:30pm show on July 22 at Laemmle NoHo, with cast and crew including Del Zamora and Dick Rude in attendance.
Runtime is 88 minutes.
