The official trailer has been released for 'THE HOODOOS', a 2026 Southern Gothic horror-comedy set for a red-carpet premiere at the Historic Manship Theatre inside the Shaw Center for the Arts in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on August 14, 2026 at 7:30pm.
Based on the novel of the same name, 'THE HOODOOS' blends supernatural horror, dark regional folklore and high-stakes heist action.
The film follows an elite crew of criminals recruited by a mysterious crime lord known only as The Captain. Their mission is to travel deep into the Teche bayou, break into a long-abandoned plantation house and recover thousands of hidden Confederate gold coins.
But the treasure is protected by ancient Vodoun spells, and the crew’s plan takes a darker turn when they force a low-rent voodoo influencer to help them bypass the supernatural security. Once inside, they find themselves trapped with something terrifying waiting in the dark.
