Cinephobia Releasing will release 'THE DOLLMAKER', the latest feature from Argentinian filmmaker José María Cicala, on North American VOD and Digital from August 25, 2026.
An unnerving combination of the weird and macabre, 'THE DOLLMAKER' takes place in a quiet village and follows a charming young man who leads a simple life: caring for his mother, working at the video store and collecting dolls.
But when women start disappearing, newly arrived Inspector Porter begins investigating, with the Dollmaker becoming his prime suspect.
Written by José María Cicala and Griselda Sanchez, the film stars Rodrigo Noya, Alejo Garcia Pintos, Arturo Puig, Griselda Sanchez, Mario Alarcon, Alejandra Baldoni, Guillermo Zapata, Eduardo Calvo, Santiago Dominguez and Silvia Petri.
'THE DOLLMAKER' received its US premiere at Screamfest in Los Angeles, where Rodrigo Noya won the award for Best Actor.
The film is produced by Abril Cicala, with cinematography by Martin Nico, editing by Cecilia Calarota and music by Nahuel Maeso. Shock House Films serves as the production company.
Runtime is 97 minutes.
