Freestyle Digital Media has acquired VOD rights to 'UNSPOKEN', a coming-of-age drama written and directed by Jeremy Borison.
The film will be available on North American digital HD internet, DVD, cable and satellite platforms from August 4, 2026.
'UNSPOKEN' follows Noam, a closeted Orthodox teenager who discovers a love letter written before the Holocaust, addressed to his grandfather by another man. Driven to uncover the truth, he begins searching for the letter’s mysterious author, opening up questions about his grandfather’s hidden past and his own identity.
Raised in a deeply conservative Modern Orthodox community, Noam struggles to say the word “gay” to himself, let alone to the family and faith that define his world. But as he digs deeper into the past, he is forced closer to a truth he can no longer avoid.
Written and directed by Jeremy Borison, 'UNSPOKEN' is produced by Borison, Zhenia Tananko and Yichen Ma.
The cast includes Charlie Korman, Michael Zapesotsky, Katherine Kamhi, Rita Zohar, Liz Richman, Vic Kallett, JJ Herz, Jill Karrenbrock, Catherine Bruhier, Brennan Cattalini, Mary Cavaliere, Danny Chon, Avra Friedman, Max Mattern, Ariana Perlson, David Pevsner, Ayelette Robinson, Steve Sobel, David Eugene Sweat and Lauren Alison Wargin.
Borison says 'UNSPOKEN' explores the history of LGBTQ victims of the Holocaust and the experiences of closeted children in religious communities, while also being a wider coming-of-age story about finding identity and where we fit in the world.
Freestyle Digital Media negotiated the acquisition directly with the filmmakers and Glen Reynolds of Circus Road Films.
