Plaion Pictures will release 'THIS TEMPTING MADNESS', a twisted psychological thriller starring Simone Ashley, on UK digital platforms from 10 August 2026.
Ashley stars as Mia, who suffers a near-fatal fall and wakes from a coma with serious brain damage and amnesia. Desperate to return to her perfect life with her husband Jake and their young daughter Aurora, Mia’s world collapses when she discovers that Jake has been arrested for her attempted murder.
With the evidence pointing towards him, Mia is forced to question everything she thought she knew about the man she loves. As she tries to piece together her fragmented memories, she must ask whether Jake is truly capable of such a shocking crime, or whether there is more to that fateful night than meets the eye.
Surrounded by her protective family, Mia becomes caught in a dangerous tug-of-war between her brother and her husband. Battling psychosis and a distorted reality, she must navigate a world where the truth feels completely out of reach.

Written and directed by Jennifer E. Montgomery, 'THIS TEMPTING MADNESS' is described in the press notes as a mind-bending thriller inspired by a true story that had a major impact on the filmmaker. The film has also drawn praise for Simone Ashley’s lead performance, with Bloody Disgusting calling it a “stylish psychological thriller”.
