Conscian Morgan’s British supernatural horror 'BINDING EVA' will receive its World Premiere in the FIRST BLOOD strand at Tubi FrightFest 2026.
The feature-length directorial debut stars Ryan Ralph Gerrard, Catherine Deevy and Darcey Wood, and screens on Saturday 29 August at 8:45 pm on Discovery Screen 1.
Set deep in the Forest of Dean, 'BINDING EVA' follows Felix, a small-time smuggler who goes on the run after a deal goes wrong.
Felix takes a mother, Katarina, and her seven-year-old daughter Eva hostage, forcing them to travel through the surrounding woodland. As the paths begin to loop and reality starts to fracture, the group becomes lost among the trees and hunted by something they cannot see.
When Katarina disappears, Felix is left to protect Eva. An unexpected bond begins to form between the criminal and the child, forcing Felix to confront his past and the possibility that redemption may have arrived too late.
'BINDING EVA' was filmed across eight weeks in the Forest of Dean, with much of the woodland material shot by a crew of four.
Director of photography Haridas Stewart used a Sony FX3 with Blazar anamorphic lenses, with the forest scenes filmed largely using natural light.
The original score was composed by Maciej Sadowski using double bass, cello and piano. The filmmakers developed the music around the relationship between Felix and Eva, combining warmth and melancholy with the film’s supernatural atmosphere.
The film is written by Conscian Morgan, Will Clempner and Roffem Uzong, and produced by Britt Kuipers and Conscian Morgan for Conscian Pictures.
