Freestyle Digital Media will release 'MOOCH', a sharp offbeat crime comedy from director Jeff Ryan, on digital platforms from August 14, 2026.
The film follows Shane, a struggling thirty-year-old caddie at Hopkinton Country Club who is going nowhere fast. He is the oldest caddie at the club by a full fifteen years, and his life seems stuck.
When Shane makes a reckless move to pocket three hundred dollars from one of New Jersey’s wealthiest nightclub owners, it should be the end of him. Instead, it becomes the strange beginning of a new hustle: getting paid to steal information as a private eye for a shady nightclub owner.
For the first time, Shane’s dreams feel within reach. But the deeper he wades into a world of secrets, favours and dangerous people, the more the job starts bleeding into his personal life.
He can dodge the heat, outrun the fallout and cross almost everyone in his path — but one thing never changes.
Shane is, and always will be, a MOOCH.
