‘THE FLESH ITSELF’ is the latest film to join the BritFlicks Tubi FrightFest 2026 trailer playlist, bringing Ian SBF’s award-winning Brazilian psychological horror to our festival coverage.
The film will have its UK Premiere at Tubi FrightFest 2026, screening on Discovery Screen 4 at ODEON LUXE Leicester Square on Saturday 29 August at 6:00 pm and Monday 31 August at 1:30 pm.
Set in 1870 during the South American Paraguayan War, ‘THE FLESH ITSELF’ follows three deserter soldiers struggling to survive as they cross a desolate border region.
When they stumble upon an isolated house inhabited only by a mysterious farmer and a silent young woman, it appears to offer shelter from the horrors of war. But as night falls, the house begins to reveal disturbing secrets of its own.
Described by Rolling Stone Brazil as “a claustrophobic nightmare” and by C7nema as “a convulsive psychological thriller”, ‘THE FLESH ITSELF’ won Best Director, Best Production Design and Best Costume Design at FilmQuest 2025.
