The latest film to join the BritFlicks Tubi FrightFest 2026 trailer playlist is ‘WELCOME TO G-TOWN’, a microbudget Glasgow alien splatter comedy from identical twin directors Nathan and Ben McQuaid.
The film will have its English Premiere at Tubi FrightFest 2026, screening on Discovery Screen 2 on Sunday 30 August at 6:30pm.
Shot guerrilla-style on the streets of Glasgow, ‘WELCOME TO G-TOWN’ follows three down-on-their-luck graduates struggling to find their place in the city. But their job-hunting problems take a strange turn when they become caught up in a shape-shifting alien conspiracy.
Inspired by early Peter Jackson cult chaos including ‘BAD TASTE’ and ‘MEET THE FEEBLES’, the film follows Bill, a media studies graduate whose search for work leads him to an office filled with strange characters in kilts and Jimmy hats.
They are not what they seem. When the aliens’ leader sends one of them to spy on Bill, he and his best friends Pete and Ronnie find themselves dragged into a bizarre plan to take over the job market and destroy Scotland.
Following three sold-out screenings at Glasgow Film Festival earlier this year, ‘WELCOME TO G-TOWN’ now heads to FrightFest for its English Premiere.
