A routine eviction becomes a claustrophobic nightmare in '1C', an Argentinian found-footage horror written and directed by Gabriel Musco.
A landlord and his team enter an abandoned Buenos Aires apartment expecting a straightforward eviction. Instead, they discover disturbing signs of violence and a phone containing secret recordings of the missing tenant.
The footage documents a horrifying physical and psychological transformation — and suggests that something unnatural has taken hold inside the apartment.
Then every exit suddenly locks.
Cut off from the outside world, the group realises they are trapped inside the same space that consumed the tenant, with something far from human still inside with them.
Shot inside a real apartment with a minimal crew, '1C' uses confined spaces, fragmented recordings and found-footage realism to create an intensely claustrophobic horror experience.
