In 2002, the Texas town of Split Springs was devastated when a manure storage facility exploded, flooding streets with raw sewage and forcing almost every resident from their home.
The rest of the country watched — and laughed.
Years later, filmmaker Violet Blank arrives with a camera crew and a theory. She believes the man responsible for the disaster disappeared before anyone thought to question him.
As interview after interview leads nowhere, Violet becomes increasingly determined to force the truth into the open. The line between documentary and interrogation begins to disappear, along with the line between justice and revenge.
Her crew keeps filming. Nobody stops her.
