Steve Oram stars as a vicar confronting the darkest limits of faith and vengeance in 'CRUSHED', a bleak new horror thriller from writer-director Simon Rumley, arriving on UK digital on October 5, 2026 through GrimmVision.
Set in the suburbs of Bangkok, English vicar Daniel lives with his wife May and their 10-year-old daughter Olivia. Their seemingly peaceful life is shattered when Olivia is abducted, sending Daniel and May into an increasingly desperate search for their child.
As the couple confront fear, trauma and human depravity, Daniel’s lifelong devotion to God is pushed to breaking point. Faced with unimaginable evil, he must decide whether he can continue to live by the beliefs he has spent his life preaching — or surrender to vengeance.
'CRUSHED' expands on Rumley’s 2012 short 'P IS FOR PRESSURE' from horror anthology 'THE ABCs OF DEATH', exploring trauma, forgiveness, revenge and religion while also addressing child trafficking and animal cruelty.
The film was shot entirely on location in Thailand and previously screened at FrightFest 2025.
