The life and legacy of legendary automotive pioneer Ed “Isky” Iskenderian is celebrated in 'ISKY', a new history and motorsport documentary arriving worldwide on October 2, 2026 through Freestyle Digital Media.
Written and directed by Cheyanne Kane, the film explores Iskenderian’s enormous influence on hot rodding, drag racing, land speed racing, NASCAR and American performance engineering.
A pioneering engineer, promoter and entrepreneur, Isky helped transform hot rodding from a garage-based hobby into a nationally recognised automotive culture and industry. His work in camshaft design changed performance engineering, while his promotional partnership with drag-racing legend Don Garlits helped establish a model for modern corporate motorsport sponsorship.
The documentary looks at the ingenuity, curiosity and enthusiasm behind a career that helped bring racers, builders and manufacturers onto a national stage — and examines an influence still felt throughout automotive and motorsport culture today.
