'CHECKOUT', a darkly comic spy thriller from director Jonathan Dekel, arrives on Digital in the US on October 16, 2026 through Freestyle Digital Media.
Set on the outskirts of 1990s Istanbul, the film follows Theo, a tired American writer drifting through the same hotel routine day after day as he searches for inspiration.
But Theo is not really Theo. He is Dov, an Israeli operative. His editor is actually his Mossad handler, and the man he is searching for is a target Israeli Intelligence has been trying to identify.
Just as Dov prepares to check out, a gentle stranger named Amal checks in. He may be the man Dov has been hunting โ or he may be nobody at all.
What follows is a shifting confession, a race against time and an increasingly absurd attempt by one man to prove who someone else is while losing track of who he is himself. Blending espionage, identity and dark humour, 'CHECKOUT' turns the traditional spy story into something far more unpredictable.
