'BRUTE 1986', the blood-soaked new 1980s-inspired slasher from director Marcel Walz and writer Joe Knetter, will receive its World Premiere at Tubi FrightFest Halloween on October 31, 2026.
The sequel to 'BRUTE 1976' moves the action forward a decade, swapping 1970s exploitation horror for glam metal, big hair, practical gore and the excess of the 1980s slasher era.
Following the events of the first film, glam metal band Leather Kobra head to an abandoned Western town to shoot their latest music video. Unfortunately for the band and crew, the ultra-violent Birdy family has taken up residence nearby.
When their paths cross, the music video shoot descends into a night of terror and bloodshed.
'BRUTE 1986' stars Bill Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel, Gigi Gustin, Sarah French, Dazelle Yvette, Sarah Kaplan, Lew Temple, Pancho Moler and Heather Grace Hancock, alongside Jed Rowen, Joey Jupiter-Levin, Mark Justice, Matt Wiggins, Ryan James, Ramiro Leal, James Preston, Scotch Hopkins and Bishop Stevens.
Adding to the film's 1980s atmosphere, Bill Kaulitz also contributes original music, while glam metal band CRAZY LIXX provides additional original music.
Cinephobia Releasing has acquired North American and UK rights to the film.
