'IT'S ALWAYS THE END OF THE WORLD', the feature debut from writer-director George Earwicker, will be released on UK digital platforms on November 20, 2026 through Vertigo Releasing.
The psychological mystery thriller follows Max and Charlotte as they travel to a remote cabin once owned by Charlotte's uncle.
Buried in the bushes outside the property, Max discovers an old trunk stuffed with documents, audio cassettes and VHS tapes.
The strange collection appears to point towards half a century of murder, secrets and abuse, drawing Max into an increasingly obsessive search for answers.
As he digs deeper, the mystery expands beyond the trunk itself, raising questions about Britain's past, the nature of truth and the way people construct meaning from fragments of information.
'IT'S ALWAYS THE END OF THE WORLD' also explores grief, depression and guilt, combining the mechanics of a detective thriller with an intimate relationship drama centred on Max and Charlotte.
The film stars Jacob Mellers as Max and Robyn Faye as Charlotte, with Grant Masters also appearing in the supporting cast.
Produced independently by The Sandbagos, the 99-minute feature was made for just £8,000 by a seven-person crew, all of whom were under 25.
Vertigo Releasing will make 'IT'S ALWAYS THE END OF THE WORLD' available digitally in the UK from November 20, 2026, including on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.
