'SESSIONS', a gritty new British psychological thriller exploring addiction, substance abuse and toxic "sesh" culture, will be released digitally in the UK on November 27, 2026.
Directed by Giles Alderson, the film stars Daniel O'Reilly as Richie, a man whose seemingly settled life begins to unravel under the pressures of impending fatherhood, financial strain and addiction.
Richie has a new wife, a baby on the way and a loyal best friend, but beneath the surface he is struggling with anxiety while masking his problems with cocaine, alcohol and the expectations of lad culture.
When his charismatic best friend Steve, played by Jonas Armstrong, draws him into a high-stakes property deal with a corrupt developer, Richie believes he may have found a way to solve his financial problems.
Instead, the deal begins to collapse and Richie finds himself losing his job, his marriage and his grip on reality.
Pursued by a creditor, played by Rupert Graves, and increasingly consumed by drugs and paranoia, Richie is forced to confront the destructive consequences of his behaviour.
'SESSIONS' explores addiction, male vulnerability, friendship, grief and the effect destructive behaviour can have not only on the individual but on the people around them.
Co-writer and star Daniel O'Reilly has described the film as a dramatised reflection of his own experiences, with the story examining men who may not recognise the extent of their struggles until the consequences become overwhelming.
The ensemble cast also includes Bill Fellows, Jaime Winstone, Leo Gregory, Preeya Kalidas, Percelle Ascott and Paul Smith.
Following an earlier screening at the London Independent Film Festival, 'SESSIONS' will hold a red-carpet premiere at Cineworld Leicester Square on November 24, ahead of its digital release three days later.
